View a BOM
View an item's BOM data on the Bill of Materials tab. Your site administrator configures the available BOM views.
Note: Item detail properties, custom BOM properties, and roll-up properties are restricted based on permissions. These property values display as Restricted in the BOM. If one value in a roll-up is restricted, the entire roll-up displays as restricted.
Select a BOM View
- From the View drop-down menu, select a view (if one is available).
Switch between Nested or Flat View
Click Nested View
or Flat View 
in the upper right of the BOM window.Nested view displays the BOM using an expandable multi-level parent-child list. Flat view discards the subassembly child items and the top-most parent and displays the BOM as a single-level list.
Note: Flat view supports all BOM views. Values that differ across item occurrences are indicated with Varies. Expand the item to show the unique values for each of the individual occurrences. Roll-up fields display NA in flat view.
