View a BOM by State

A BOM configuration controls which item revisions are shown in the BOM.

Each configuration applies a bias that displays the BOM assembly in one of four states:

• Released Revisions

  View the approved state of the assembly at any point in time.

  Displays the Released Revision of each item in the BOM effective as of the selected BOM View as of date. This is the default configuration.

• Working Revisions

  View the working state of the assembly as of today.

  Displays the Working Version of each item in the BOM, when available.

• Pending Changes

  View the state of an assembly assuming the associated change order is approved.

  Displays the Working Version of pending items in the BOM that have the same associated change order as the open item. For items that do NOT have the same associated change order, the released revision effective on the selected BOM View as of date is displayed.

• All Pending Changes

  View the state of an assembly assuming all open change orders are approved.

  Displays the Working Version of ALL items in the BOM that have a pending change. For items that do NOT have a pending change, the released revision effective on the selected BOM View as of date is displayed.

1. On the Bill of Material tab, click View Settings.
2. From the Configuration drop-down menu, select a BOM configuration.
3. Click OK.

The BOM displayed reflects the selected view as of the date and configuration selected in View Settings. The view is summarized in the view description above the BOM.
