To Create a Wind Profile

The default wind profile is uniform at the specified wind speed. In situations when the wind approaching a structure doesn't have a uniform velocity, you can create a wind profile.

1. Click Loads Wind and Snow Wind Simulation.

   The Wind simulation dialog displays.

2. Go to the Wind Profile tab.
3. Adjust the Height of the graphic curve as necessary.
4. Click anywhere on the curve to create a point, and then drag this point to the required coefficient.
5. Enter a name for the wind profile in the Save Wind Profile box, and then click Save.

   The new name becomes available in the list of saved profiles.

To Update a Wind Profile

You can reuse the name of an exiting wind profile if you want to update it.

1. Go to the Wind Profile tab of the Wind simulation dialog.
2. Adjust the Height of the graphic curve as necessary.
3. Enter the name of the wind profile that you want to update in the Name box, and then click Save.

To Load a Wind Profile

1. Go to the Wind Profile tab of the Wind simulation dialog.
2. In the <Load Wind Profile> box, select the load profile that you want to use for the simulation, and then click Load.

   The graphic curve updates in the dialog.
