About Workflow for Using Spaces for Load Analysis

Using spaces for load analysis workflow for designing and optimizing an HVAC system.

Step View more information
Configure space styles. Create a space style, specify lighting and equipment load per area, and specify a classification using specifying space styles.
Create zone styles to specify the display and design rules for zones. Specify the display and design rules for zones using configuring zone styles.
Adding spaces to a floor plan. Add spaces to a drawing using objects in a referenced floor plan drawing (xref) as the bounding objects using adding spaces to a floor plan.
Assign property set data to spaces and edit engineering data. Edit the engineering data to model the appropriate environmental conditions by adding engineering data to spaces.
Attach property sets to zones. Create zones and assign property sets before exporting space data by attaching property sets to zones.
Associate spaces with zones. Assign spaces to zones and attach zones to other zones by attaching spaces to zones.
Exporting zones for load analysis. Export the engineering and building information in gbXML format by exporting zones for load analysis.
Review spaces and zones. Use the Space/Zone Manager to review the zone hierarchy and review space information by reviewing spaces and zones.
Import load analysis results. Import the completed load analysis data into your drawing using importing load analysis results.
Use space and zone calculated data. Display load calculation results in tags and schedules to improve the design of the HVAC system using space and zone calculated data.
