To share models between BIM 360 Glue and BIM 360 Field, begin by setting up a project in BIM 360 Glue. In this project, include models that are ready to share with BIM 360 Field.
If you're using model integration with Navisworks or Revit but aren't using Glue yet, contact Support. They can tell you whether you're eligible to get BIM 360 Glue.
- In BIM 360 Glue, a host administrator creates a project.
- In BIM 360 Glue, a host or project administrator invites members to the project.
- Project members install the BIM 360 add-in for their authoring tools so that they can upload or "glue" models to BIM 360 Glue projects. The BIM 360 add-ins can be installed with Autodesk Revit 2015, Navisworks 2015, AutoCAD 2015, and later versions of these programs. They are also available for download at the Autodesk BIM 360 Add-Ins download page.
- Using a BIM 360 add-in, project members glue their models from within their Autodesk authoring tools, such as Revit, into a BIM 360 Glue project.
- In BIM 360 Glue, an administrator creates model equipment sets so that the model can be shared with Field.
- In BIM 360 Field, a Field administrator adds the model shared from Glue to a Field project. Now the administrator can map the equipment sets to corresponding Field properties.
