PDF File Viewer Settings
In the Files tool, you can change how you and your team view PDFs by switching to a continuous scroll option. Continuous scroll lets you view a multipage PDF without clicking through each page. Clicking through each page may be helpful for viewing drawings one single page at a time. Alternatively, continuous scroll lets you have a smoother reading experience, especially for text-heavy documents.
You can choose to view PDFs with continuous scroll on an individual basis. Project administrators can also adjust a setting for everyone. This setting makes all PDF files in a specific folder view with continuous scroll by default.
In this topic, you'll learn how to:
- Change Folder Settings to Continuous Scroll
- View Individual PDF Files with Continuous Scroll
- Navigate the Viewer with Continuous Scroll
Change Folder Settings to Continuous Scroll
You must be a project administrator to change the PDF viewer settings for a folder.
Click the More menu
next to the desired folder.
Hover over More and click PDF viewer settings
Select Continuous scroll.
Click Save.
From now on, all files in this folder will open with continuous scroll. You can change this setting at any time.
View Individual PDF Files with Continuous Scroll
When viewing an individual PDF file, you can switch from the default viewer to view with continuous scroll.
- Click the Continuous scroll icon
at the top right corner of the viewer.
- To switch back to the default viewer, click the Single page icon
that appears in the same location as the continuous scroll icon.
When you exit the viewer, your selection won't be saved. If you want continuous scroll to apply by default when you open a file, a project administrator can change the PDF viewer settings at the folder level. See the previous section on this page.
