Custom Submittal Responses

This page provides an overview of the default responses that can be used when reviewing and processing submittals. It covers:

  • Understanding the available default response types
  • Adding, editing, and managing custom default responses
  • Setting up default responses at the project level

There are three main categories of default responses:

Approved Responses: Used when accepting and approving a submittal.

Revise and Resubmit Responses: Used when a submittal requires modifications before approval.

Rejected Responses: Used when outright rejecting a submittal.

To add a custom default response:

  1. Click Submittals from the left navigation to open the Submittals tool.
  2. Click Settings menu and choose Responses.
  3. Add Approved responses.
  4. Add Revise and resubmit responses.
  5. Add Rejected responses.

Once created, default responses can be edited, deactivated, or deleted as needed. Project administrators can also set certain responses as required at the project level.
