These basic steps help you get started. They do not include all of the features in Configurator 360. For comprehensive coverage of functionality, see the Help topics.
- 1. Prepare your first model for upload to Configurator 360
- Choose a simple IPT file with a few important parameters and no referenced files. Most Inventor models are acceptable.
Open the model in Inventor, and use the Parameters command to set the important parameters as Key.

- 2. Upload the model to Configurator 360
- In Inventor, on the Autodesk 360 Tab, click Upload to Configurator 360 and follow the prompts.
If your version of Inventor does not include Configurator 360, in Configurator 360 on the Designs tab, click New design .
Note: Configurator 360 is not installed by default with Inventor 2014. You can download it as an add-in to Inventor 2014 here. - 3. View the model
- On the Configurator 360 Web page, your model is in the list on the Designs page. Click Go to design
.
On the configuration page, you can change parameter values. Your end-users see this view.
- 4. Add branding to your pages
- On the drop-down menu by your name, click Administrator view. Then on the Options tab, click Branding and use the form to customize your pages.
To see the branding changes, click the Design tab Go to design .
- 5. Allow and invite others to view your model
- On the Configurator 360 Designs tab, in Access, change Admins only
to Unrestricted viewing
.
To invite others to view the design, click Email link .
You can copy and paste the link that is in the email into any other context.
