  • Files | Holding Area Settings Change – The Holding area setting has moved from the Naming Standards setting page to a dedicated tab where it will be turned off by default for new projects. See the holding area help topic for more details.

  • Files | Add or Remove Related Attributes from a Naming Standard in Use – Project administrators can now add or remove non-required related attributes from a naming standard even if the naming standard is applied to folders which contain files.

  • Files | Set Custom Attributes as Required — Members with Manage permission and project administrators can now set custom attributes as required for selected folders. This means that files require attribute values which conform with their attribute settings before they can be uploaded to those folders. This helps teams maintain consistent metadata and improve document control.

  • Files | New Layout of the Project Settings — Files settings now feature a reorganized tab structure to make it easier for teams to find and manage settings across projects and templates.

  • Desktop Connector | Changes to How Files Uploaded Using Desktop Connector are Processed for Viewing – Instead of auto-processing every upload from Desktop Connector, teams can now decide when a file should be processed for viewing the Files tool. The following cloud connected workflows still process for viewing automatically: Revit Cloud Worksharing, Model Coordination, Civil 3D to Revit Topology, and Bridge Automations. See Changes to Viewing Files Uploaded by Desktop Connector FAQ for more details on what's changing and why.

  • Packages | Add References from a Package – Package managers can now link packages directly to Issues, RFIs, Forms, Assets, Submittals, Plan Tasks, Schedule Activities, PCOs, and other file packages to improve visibility across workflows.

  • Viewing | Loading Larger Models on Mobile — The mobile model viewer has been optimized to load only the visible portion of a large model. This makes it possible to open larger models than previously possible on the same mobile device.

  • Visualization | Mobile Model Viewer – The new model viewer is optimized to load only the visible portion of a large 3D models on mobile devices, making it possible to open models up to significantly larger than previously possible on the same mobile device.

  • Visualization | ACC Viewpoints – Project teams can now:

    • See & select Viewpoints created in ACC web
    • Align a complete workflow across Model Coordination, Docs, and ACC Mobile
    • Utilize a single panel to view Navisworks viewpoints and ACC-created viewpoints in one place
