Cut

In Opus, cut objects using any of the following methods.

  • From the menu, click Edit Cut
  • In the Edit toolbar, click the icon
  • At the command line, type CUTCLIP and then press Enter
  • Press CTRL + X to cut selected elements

You can select objects first, and then launch the Cut command, or you can launch the Cut command first and then select objects.

When you launch the Cut command first, with no objects selected in the drawing, you are prompted to select the objects to cut.

If the objects have been selected and the cut command is selected, then the objects are cut immediately.

Note: CTRL + X can only be used if the objects have been selected first.

Select the objects and right-click or press Enter to apply.

Cut objects are stored in the clipboard and can be pasted back into the same drawing, another development, or into a new drawing. The objects cut will remain in the clipboard until replaced by a Copy command or another Cut command. Objects in the clipboard can be pasted into a drawing multiple times.
