Tape Name box

Select:To:

Enter Tape Name

Tape Name from Directory

Determine the tape name from the detected directory structure. Use the Level field below to configure the relative path to the directory from which the tape name can be determined.

Auto Tape Name

Read the tape name from the header of the imported file.

Level field

Set from which directory the tape name is taken, relative to the location of the clip in the directory structure.

Although available for all types of files, the Level field is intended for directory structures output by film scanners. A typical image file directory structure looks like this: ./<tape>/<resolution>/clip.######. In this case, selecting Levels Up 2 in the Level field identifies the directory that corresponds to the tape name (./<tape>). Enabled if Tape Name is set to Tape From Directory.

Tape Name field

Enter the name to use as tape name when importing the clip. Enabled if Tape Name box is set to Enter Tape Name.

Debayering Settings

Debayering box

Select the resolution for the imported clip. Higher resolutions require more processing and impact real-time playback. Other resolutions offer better performance at the cost of lower image resolution.

Decoder box

Use GPU ensures the debayering happens on the GPU. This is the option to use for best performance. Use CPU can be selected to free up GPU resources or if the GPU decoding causes issues such as image corruption.

Orientation box

Flip (vertical) or flop (horizontal) the media when importing the clip. Select Disable Flip to use the true orientation of the image, as it was shot.

Highlight Recovery

Attempt to recover information from clipped channels.

Image Settings

Image Settings From File button

Enable to use the ISO, Exposure, Colour Temperature, and Tint settings from the file. Disable to edit these settings.

Colour Settings

Note: When the MediaHub General colour management settings are in Auto Convert or View Transform mode (see Applying Colour Management on Import) it is recommended that you use the "From File or Rules" option. In this case, the Format Specific Colour Settings are ignored and the media will be decoded into BMD Film/WideGamut Gen5 colour space and then converted to the selected Working or Display space.

Otherwise, please be aware that the values you set in the Format Specific BMDRaw Colour tab will be followed by the colour management requested in the General settings.

In Tag Only mode, when using the "From File or Rules" option, the Tagged Colour Space used for various combinations of the Color Space and Gamma menus is shown in this table. For other combinations, the File Colour Space will show as "Unknown" and the Tagged Colour Space will be determined by the Input Rules (see Applying Colour Management on Import).
