Valve elements for assessment and closeable elements are defined by Selection Sets. Valve elements for assessment can also be defined by user selection in InfoWater Pro. Selection Sets need to be predefined before starting the InfoWater Pro Criticality Assessment Manager.
InfoWater Pro Criticality Assessment Manager automatically conducts a snapshot hydraulic assessment for each Assessed Valve. These options define the run time and reporting criteria for the hydraulic assessment. InfoWater Pro Criticality Assessment Manager can run a steady (snapshot) assessment for any time interval defined in the Assessment Time field. Run time can be expressed as base units, decimal clock, or 24-hour clock (e.g., 8, 8:00).
The optional InfoWater Pro Criticality Assessment Manager Report File provides a summary record of the Project file and Run Options selected along with detailed reporting for each Assessed Element in text (ASCII) format. Use any text editor to read this file.
The following dialog box is used to setup Criticality Assessment Manager analysis Based on Model Elements.
Assessment Element Data
-
User Selected Assessing Valve Elements - Use this option to select individual or multiple valve or junction elements for assessment by graphically selecting elements in InfoWater Pro.
-
Select Elements - Click on this button to graphically select features to add to the User Selected Assessing Valve Elements box.
-
-
Apply Assessing Valves from Selection Set - Click on this checkbox to use a previously defined Selection Set of Valve or Junction elements for assessment. Typically this will include all valves being assessed for criticality. The selection set listed in this box defines the valves that will be assessed. The desired selection set may be selected using this drop-down box.
-
Selection Set Editor - Click on this button to access the Selection Set dialog box. Selection sets may be created, managed, and deleted from this dialog box.
-
Options
-
Assess Demand Junctions Only - Click on this checkbox to list results for demand junctions only. A typical assessment result can identify many nodes as Isolated, Low Pressure, or No Water. This option allows you to only report demand junctions affected (i.e., Junction Elements with non-zero demand).
-
Include Pound Nodes as Isolated - Click on this checkbox to include Pound Nodes in the list of Isolated Nodes. Isolated Nodes comprise nodes within the Pound and hydraulically disconnected nodes outside the Pound.
Closeable Element Selection Set
-
Closeable Element Selection Set - Click on this checkbox to use a previously defined Selection Set of closeable elements. Typically this will include all operable valves in the network.
-
Selection Set Editor - Click on this button to access the Selection Set dialog box. Selection sets may be created, managed, and deleted from this dialog box.
Note:You can include as many elements in the Assessing Valves or Closeable Element Selection Sets as desired. InfoWater Pro Criticality Assessment Manager does not consider the initial status of each Assessing Valve or Closeable Element. All Closeable Elements need to be included in the Selection Set, even if open, closed or set status is defined in the Active Control Set.
-
Report File
-
Save Results to Report File - Click on this checkbox for the option to save InfoWater Pro Criticality Assessment Manager results to a text file.
-
Browser - Click on this button to browse and select a location to save the report file on the network or local drive.
-
Run Title - Enter optional title for the header in the Report File.
Assessment Pressure Threshold
-
High/Max Pressure - Enter the desired pressure value for High Pressure reporting. InfoWater Pro Criticality Assessment Manager will report all junctions receiving more than this threshold. Disabled in the Based on Model Elements mode. Units for High Pressure Threshold are defined in InfoWater Pro Simulation Options, Pressure Units.
-
Low/Min Pressure Threshold - Enter the desired pressure value for Low Pressure reporting. InfoWater Pro Criticality Assessment Manager will report all junctions receiving less than this threshold but more than the No Water Threshold. Units for Low Pressure Threshold are defined in InfoWater Pro Simulation Options, Pressure Units.
-
No Water Threshold - Enter the desired pressure value for Low Pressure reporting. InfoWater Pro Criticality Assessment Manager will report all junctions receiving less than this threshold. Units for Low Pressure Threshold are defined in InfoWater Pro Simulation Options, Pressure Units.
Assessment Criteria Data
-
Assessment Time - Enter the desired run time for all assessments. Run time can be expressed as base units, decimal clock, or 24-hour clock (e.g., 8, 8:00). Units for Assessment Time are defined in the the Simulation Options.
-
Maximum Velocity Threshold - Enter the maximum velocity for maximum velocity reporting. The InfoWater Pro Criticality Assessment Manager will report all pipes with a velocity at or above this threshold. Units for Maximum Velocity Threshold are defined in the InfoWater Pro Simulation Options.
-
Show Records Automatically - Click on this checkbox to automatically open the Criticality Assessment Manager modeling results screen after a successful run.
Run - Click on this button to run a Valve Criticality Analysis. InfoWater Pro Criticality Assessment Manager will evaluate your network based on the Active Network and Simulation Options defined in InfoWater Analyzer. InfoWater Pro Criticality Assessment Manager progress is displayed on the progress bar. A summary is displayed in the Message Board on the Input Data Screen.
InfoWater Pro Criticality Assessment Manager results are automatically stored after each successful InfoWater Pro Criticality Assessment Manager analysis and saved with your project. Valve Criticality Modeling Reports can be viewed at any time by starting InfoWater Pro Criticality Assessment Manager in the Add On Extension Manager, and select Result.
Results - Click on this button to view the output of the Valve Criticality Analysis.
Clicking on this button is not required if the Show Results Automatically option is checked.
Close - Click on this button to close the Valve Criticality Modeling dialog box.
