Return Period Analysis Grid Report Dialog

This dialog is used to:
  • Produce an RPA report for a series of simulations using rainfall of different know return periods and storm durations.
  • Export the results data from the RPA report and automatically upload it to Info360 Asset. This option is only available for users with an Autodesk licence.
  • Export the results data from the RPA report to a CSV file.

The dialog is displayed when you select Grid report Return period analysis report from the Results menu.

See below for a description of the dialog, and Grid Reports for details about how to use it to produce an RPA report and export data from it.

Dialog description

Item Description
Sim

A drop box for the simulations to be analysed.

For cloud simulations, the results (full or summary) must be downloaded to your local results folder.

Ideally these should be a series of simulations using design rainfall events where the rainfall event is the only variation. Choose a series of return periods for each of a series of storm durations.

All the simulations must use the same InfoWorks network.

Label Conduits on GeoPlan with RPA Results Check this option to display labels for conduits on the GeoPlan with the RPA results.
Surcharge State >=

Read-only field.

The conduit will be considered surcharged if its Surcharge State is greater or equal to 1.

Flood/Lost Volume

Read-only field.

Upstream node will be considered flooded if flood/lost volume is greater or equal to 0.001 m3

Return Period (yrs) >= Use this box to set the maximum return period in which you are interested. Above this value, if flooding occurs at the node, the RPA Report View displays an x to show return period above the specified maximum value.
Produce Grid Click to produce the report as a grid and display it in the RPA Report View.
Export Info360

Enabled when an RPA report has been produced.

Click to export data from the RPA Report View and upload it to Info360 Asset.

Export CSV Enabled when an RPA report has been produced.

Click to export the data from the RPA Report View to a CSV file.

When clicked, a Windows Save As dialog is displayed, which you can use to:
  • Navigate to the folder where you want the CSV file to be saved to.
  • Specify the name for the CSV file. The network name for the first simulation in the Sim box is provided by default, which you can change if required.
  • Export the data by clicking Save in the Save as dialog.
