Adding GeoExplorer zone status categories

Status categories can be used to indicate the state of the network model associated with a GeoExplorer zone.

Status categories will be displayed in the choice list for the Status field of the GeoExplorer zone.

To add GeoExplorer zone status categories

1. Open the GeoExplorer Zone Grid view (for example by selecting Window Grid windows New GeoExplorer zones window).
2. Click the Status tab to open the Status page.
3. Create one or more status categories on the grid.
4. On the Zone page, select one of the previously created status categories from the drop-down lists in the Status column.

A status category does not have any parameters; however, you can add notes about the status category.

To add notes about a status category

1. On the Status page of the GeoExplorer Zone Grid view, double-click the column to the left of the status category for which you want to add notes.
2. Add notes to the Status property sheet.
3. To save the notes, click Apply.
4. When you are finished, click OK.
