Updating GeoExplorer zone boundaries

The boundaries of existing GeoExplorer zones can be updated from network information or by defining a bounding box.

GeoExplorer zone boundaries can be updated via the GeoExplorer window or via the GeoExplorer Zone grid view.

Updating zone boundaries via the GeoExplorer window

  1. Drag the Network icon from the Model Group window or the Explorer window onto the zone to be updated in the GeoExplorer window.

A message will be displayed asking if the network is to be used to update an existing zone boundary.

  2. To continue, click Yes .

If multiple zones are found at the location to which the network was dragged, a multiple selection dialog will be displayed listing the zones found: in this case, select the zone to be updated and click OK.

The Add / Update GeoExplorer Zone Boundary dialog is displayed.

  3. In the Add / Update GeoExplorer Zone Boundary dialog, select the option to be used for creating the boundary:
    • Network Extents: a zone boundary will be created based on the outermost network node locations.
    • Polygon with ID: select a network polygon from the drop-down list. A zone boundary will be created based on the network polygon boundary.
