Flooding a surface with values is like taking a can of paint and pouring it over the entire surface. The result depends on the brush operation and other settings defined before you perform the flood.
For example, flooding a surface with the Paint operation set to Replace, replaces all the values on the selected surface with the Value you set; if the Paint operation is set to Add, flooding adds the Value you set to all the values on the selected surface.
Tip: To smooth the transition between cluster weights, select the
Smooth paint operation and flood the soft body.
