Draw a Rectangle Area Takeoff

Record a rectangle or square area.

Use for: Recording room sizes, and areas with regular square or rectangle shapes. You can move the vertices of your takeoff once drawn, to a different quadrilateral-shaped area.

1. In the Quantification workbook, select the Item you want to associate with your Rectangle Area takeoff.

2. On the 2D Takeoff toolbar, click Rectangle Area .

3. On the 2D sheet, move your cursor to the position you want to start.

   Note: Notice the cursor changes to a green snap vertex when it intersects geometry.

4. Click and hold, then drag to create a rectangle or square.

   The properties of your Rectangle Area appear in the Takeoff Pane.
