To create a stub-in branch

  1. On the ribbon, click Home tab Part Insertion panel Route Pipe.
  2. In the drawing, click to specify a start point.
  3. At the command prompt, enter st (STub-in).
  4. Hold down SHIFT and right-click in the drawing area, click an object snap (for example: Perpendicular).
  5. In the drawing, click to specify a point on the pipe header.
