To create an inspection document

Create an inspection document using the New Document wizard.

The document specifies the features to be measured, and the information you want to include in the inspection report.

If a model of the part is available, you can specify the CAD model. The model can be used to create inspection items and set up feature nominals.

1. Click File tab > New > New Document Wizard or press Ctrl+N.
2. If inspection documents are already open, click Yes to close documents or No to keep existing documents open.
3. In the New Document Wizard dialog, select one of the following inspection methods:
   • Measurement without CAD to create an inspection document without a CAD model.

     You can click Finish to select the report template later.

   • Measurement with a single CAD part to create an inspection document using one CAD model.
   • Measurement with multiple CAD parts to create an inspection document using more than one model.
4. Click Next.
