Use the Relative Position item to calculate the position of a point relative to a reference point.

- In the
Relative Position: Two Points
dialog, specify values for the options that follow. Options used in common by dimension dialogs are described in
Dimension dialog options reference.
- Name
- Use nominals
- Output in report
- Coordinate system — Select an entry in the list to specify the alignment relative to which the position is reported.
To specify the alignment during the course of the inspection, select <Active Alignment>. You can then change the alignment using the Active Alignment list on the Measure tab or by adding Active Alignment items to the inspection sequence.
- Hide sign information
- Reference point 1 — Select the point relative to which you want to calculate the position of Reference point 2.
- Reference point 2 — Select the point whose position you want to calculate.
- Position — Enter the position nominals and their tolerances.
- True position — Enter the position nominals in the Position area, and enter the diametrical tolerance in the Maximum box.
