The Machine Tool dialog contains the settings that define the machine tool.
To view the machine tool's settings, in the Explorer, right-click on the active machine tool and select Settings.
The settings are split into two groups. To display a group, select the respective tab:
Axis tab — The settings on the axis page enable you to customise the machine tool so it is an accurate representation of your actual machine tool. This is especially important for multi-axis collision checking. For more information on how to improve collision checking, see Edit the .mtd file to improve collision checking.
The Machine Tool dialog tree controls which group of settings are displayed on the axis page.
- In the tree, select the machine tool name to specify the position where the tool and the job attach to the machine tool.
- In the tree, select a part (axis) to specify its orientation.
