Use the Insert Axial Component toolbar to change your component and attachment selections when inserting axial components:
The toolbar automatically selects its options from left to right, as you select the required components and attachments in the graphics window. You only need to select buttons on the toolbar if you want to change your selection. If you select a button, the toolbar continues from that option.
— Click this button to display the
Add Component
dialog. Use the dialog to select a different secondary component.
— Use this option to change the primary component. Click this button and select another component in the graphics window.
— Select an option from the drop-down list to specify the type of attachment to display on the primary component. Choose from:
— to highlight both combined and plane attachments
— to highlight only combined attachments
— to highlight only plane attachments
— Use this option to change the selected secondary attachment. Click this button and then select another attachment on the secondary component.
— Use this option to change the selected primary attachment. Click this button and then select another attachment on the primary component.
Distance — Enter a value, or select a value from the drop-down list, to specify the distance between the primary and secondary components.
— Toggle this button to specify the alignment of the secondary attachment with the primary component. Choose from:
- Align — the secondary attachment lies in the same direction as the primary's.
- Anti-align — the secondary attachment lies in the opposite direction to the primary's.
