 Analyze

Analyze tools will help you to understand details about the model detect issues with the model.

 Detect and Fix Model Issues

Clicking the Detect Issues button will start a review of the model looking for defects in the mesh. If a defect is found it will be brought to focus in the canvas with options for repair with the appropriate tool or tools available in the dialog. If more than one defect is found you can use the previous or next buttons to review each of them and choose which to take action on. The Advanced option can limit which type of defects to search for.

Particles. Stray faces that are disconnected can be removed from the model when they are found.

Holes. Gaps in the mesh can be closed using a smooth or flat transition with large or small faces on at a time or all at once.

Intersections. The Compare button will look for inconsistencies in the alignment of the models and display them using a colored scale showing the variations above or below the current model surface. Tolerances can be used to refine the analysis.

 Measure Distance

Selecting two points will display the distance between them. You can select the unit to display the measurement in without changing the units of the model.

 Mesh Reports

The mesh reports tool will list the number of vertices, faces, and if possible surface area and volume of the model.

 Compare Two Models

A second file can be chosen to compare with the active model. There is a checkbox that will toggle the visibility of the models. When it is complete you can export an image of the comparison.

Transform model. It is possible to move, rotate, comparison model to bring it as close to the current model as possible. The Align button will set the orientation of the top and origin planes of the two models to be the same.

Comparison. The Compare button will look for inconsistencies in the alignment of the models and display them using a colored scale showing the variations above or below the current model surface. Tolerances can be used to refine the analysis.
