Environmental Factors

Generally good:

• Automated missions
• Bricks or traditional building materials / high-texture surfaces
• Overcast days or those with uniform light
• Appropriate distance from imager to POI
• Strong foreground, weak or absent background
• Timing the photographs closely together / same day

Try to avoid:

• Editing images, including cropping
• Glass, water, cars; any reflective or anisotropic material
• Moving objects (tall grass, trees, etc.)
• Thin, wiry objects
• Highly flat, uniform, low-texture surfaces
• Too much sun or aiming the imager into the sun
