Departments

A Department is a collection of people completing similar tasks and can be considered a single unit for visualizing Artist resources.

Create Departments

Departments in Flow Production Tracking should mirror the departments in your studio.

You can create Departments on the Departments page. Select Add Department and in the pop-up, name the Department, provide a Department short name, set a color, and add any appropriate people. You can also configure other fields, like Order, which determine the order Departments appear in the Resource Planning views.

Tip:

You can create and update Departments in bulk using the Importer. Download a CSV template to get started.

Pipeline Steps are used to connect Tasks to Departments, in order to determine the Workload of each Department.

Link each Pipeline Step to a Department on the Pipeline Steps page. If the Department field is not visible, you can add it using the Fields Menu.

Note:

A Department can be linked to multiple Pipeline Steps, but a Pipeline Step can only be linked to one Department.
