Once a digital twin is complete or ownership needs to be transferred in cases such as users switching roles, leaving the company, or if a facility needs to be transferred between companies, the twin can be transfer via the Facility Transfer wizard.

Note: For Free Accounts on capacity pricing, Facility Transfer is not available. For those with Legacy accounts, you can transfer up to three (3) facilities from your Legacy account to your new free account with capacity pricing.

To get started from the Facilities page, under the facility menu, click transfer.

Before Continuing Please Note that when transferring facilities it is only possible to do so within the same region due to Data Residency restrictions. Facility regions cannot change once decided.

From there, a summary of what will be transferred with the facility will be presented. Be sure to click through the left side menu to review all facility data included in the transfer. Click Next.

For this step, the Target Account ID and the email address of one of the account admins is required. Once that information has been filled in, Click validate, and then Next.

Review the information. If everything is correct, click Submit.

The transferred facility will appear in the Transferred section of the Facilities page.

The receiving the account of the facility will need to set up their data structure. They can either use their own Facility Template or take advantage of what was sent with the facility. To take advantage of what was sent with the facility, start by opening and viewing the facility, and navigate to the assets tab to begin the Create Template Resources workflow.

With the Create Template Resources dialogue box open, review the template differences. Once reviewed click Copy resources, to bring the elements from the data structure that are needed, into the Tandem account.

Note That upon transferring the facility, the new facility account will need access to the documents and models that are stored in Docs or they will have to be re-linked from a new location. This is required so that if/when updates to the models or documents occur, the new location will be able to receive the updated versions in Tandem.

If you set up a Tandem Free account before February 9th, 20206 (Tandem Legacy Free), and you need to transfer a facility to a new Tandem Free account created after February 9th, 2026, there are some restrictions to keep in mind.

You can transfer a facility or facilities from a Tandem Legacy Free account into a new Tandem Free account as long as the new facility or facilities won’t cause the new Tandem Free account to exceed the limits of:

• Facilities in the account (3)
• The number of models (10) and model size (500MB per model) in a facility
• The total number of assets (500) and data points (100M) in the account
