Manufacturers: Get started
Upchain is a repository for all data related to your manufacturers. Access the Manufacturers page from your users' menu to view a manufacturer's ERP#, name, description, website, notes, parent manufacturer, status, locations, and contacts.
All users can view information about manufacturers. However, only Tenant Administrators can add and edit manufacturers.
Tenant Admins may create and manage manufacturers from one of two places:
1. User's menu > Manufacturers
- Click the chevron (
) next to your profile icon to access the user's menu and select Manufacturers.
When adding information about manufacturers through this access point, you can include information such as the manufacturers' name, description, ERP#, website address, indicate that the manufacturer has a parent organization, add multiple locations and multiple contacts, and appoint a primary location and primary contact.

2. Administration > Users > Manufacturers
- Click the chevron () beside your profile image or initials.
- Select Administration from the user menu.
- Select Manufacturers.
When adding information about manufacturers through this method, you can include information such as the manufacturers' name, description, and ERP#. Click for help topics related to adding manufacturers.
