Introduction to the Core Menu
We're thrilled to introduce you to the Core Menu in Autodesk Workshop XR. This nifty feature is like the control center of your Workshop XR experience—a one-stop-shop for all the tools and functions you need. Whether you're a veteran Workshop XR user or a newbie just starting out, this guide will help you navigate the Core Menu like a pro.
The Core Menu is a consistent set of icons connecting to the Console and other interactions such as returning to the workshop, exiting to home space, muting, and more. This menu is always visible for each user and can be moved around to your preference.
- Depending on how you are viewing your model (Workshop or 1:1), some of the Core Menu elements may only be visible in one of the states.

Core Menu Elements
Files: Shows your ACC Project Files just like the Workshop XR web app. You can use Files to share compatible models to your Workshop.
Issues: Displays your ACC Project Issues. These can be easily filtered to show only issues related to the currently shared model. Select any issue to review its details and go to its location within the model.
Model: If there is a model shared in your workshop, you will see the Model button in your menu. Here, you can control category-level object visibility. Changes you make are visible to everyone in the workshop.
People: Shows you a list of everyone currently in your workshop. From here, you can go to any other user’s location or gather anyone to your location. Please note that when sharing the same location as another user, your avatars will be merged into a stack of icons.
Settings: Allows you to configure your personal VR preferences.
Return: Takes you back to your Workshop when viewing your model in 1:1. Note: this may be greyed out/not visible when in Workshop.
Exit: Allows you to leave the workshop.
Mute/Unmute: Allows you to quickly mute or unmute your microphone.
Properties: Lets you select any model object and review its BIM metadata.
Create Issue: Allows you to place an issue anywhere in your model. These issues sync directly to your ACC project.
Measurements: Enables you to identify the spatial distance between endpoints. Measurements are automatically visible to other users.
