Edit a placeholder view

Learn how to edit base view and projected view placeholders in a drawing template in the Drawing workspace in Fusion.

1. Double-click the base view or projected view placeholder.

   The Placeholder View dialog displays.

2. In the Placeholder View dialog, adjust the Appearance settings:

   • Orientation: Select one of the standard orthographic views or a named view.
   • Style: Select a display style.
     • Visible Edges
     • Visible and Hidden Edges
     • Shaded
     • Shaded with Hidden Edges
   • Scale: Select a scale.

3. Adjust the Edge Visibility settings:

   • Tangent Edges: Select a display style for tangent edges.
     • Full Length
     • Shortened
     • Off
   • Interference Edges: Check to display interference edges.
   • Thread Edges: Check to display threaded edges.

4. Select OK.

The base view or projected view placeholder updates on the sheet to reflect the changes.
