Create a new schematic document

Create a schematic diagram with the default grid size. It is important not to change the default grid size, so that later the connections in your schematic transfer correctly to a circuit board.

1. On the Application bar at the top of the window, click File > New Electronics Design.
2. On the Electronics toolbar, in the Common tab, click Create > New Schematic to open a blank canvas.
3. Save your file.
4. On the View panel, click Grid Settings to open the Grid dialog.
5. In the Grid dialog, make sure Size is set to 0.1 inch.
6. Click OK to save the settings and close the dialog.
