The Tool Defaults section in the Database lets you assign tools and attributes to automatically default when creating or importing a new part.

Default Tool
There are 4 options that you can assign tools to. These are:
- Inner/Outer Islands
- Central Islands
- Text Islands
- Points
The actual tools that can be assigned are set up in the Installed Machine Database.
Tool Defaults
There are 4 options that you can assign to Tool Defaults. These are:
- Tool Name. The Tool Name is defined by what is set up in your Installed Machine Database.
- Lead Style. The Leads are created and defined in the Leads Section of the Database.
- Stitch Lead Style. The Leads are created and defined in the Leads Section of the Database
- Edge Lead Style. The Leads are created and defined in the Leads Section of the Database
Kerf
This determines on what side the Kerf is cut on the Left (Counter-Clockwise), the Right (Clockwise) or if it is turned Off. These settings will apply to:
- Inner / Outer Islands
- Central Islands
