UV Editor marking menus

Right-clicking in the UV Editor opens a marking menu that allows you to select between different component types and gives you quick access to the UV Editor menus.

Shift + right-clicking in the UV Editor opens a different marking menu that shows different items depending on the type of components that are selected.

UVs

When UV texture coordinates are selected, the marking menu shows the following operations:

Menu Item Effect
Unfold UVs Repositions the selected UVs so that they lay flat in the UV space.
UV Lattice Tool Allows you to deform the selected UVs as a group.
Optimize UVs Evens out the spacing between selected UVs, which can help fix distortions.
Map UV Border Maps the currently selected UV to 0, 0 in UV space, then spreads out all other border UVs relative to that.
Smooth UV Tool Opens the Smooth UV Tool, which allows you to interactively unfold or relax the selected UVs.
Straighten UV Border Repositions all selected border UVs so they form a straight line from the first selected to the last.
Layout UVs Repositions UV shells so they don't overlap and make maximum use of the available UV space.
UV Smudge Tool Allows you to quickly move selected UVs by dragging them with a brush.
Toggle Texture borders Highlights the border edges of all UV shells.
Toggle Shell borders Displays all UV shell borders connected to all selected UVs.
Create UV Shell Extracts the selected UVs into their own UV shell.

Edges

When a polygon edge is selected, the marking menu shows the following operations:
Menu Item Effect
Move and Sew UVs Merges the selected UV edges while simultaneously moving the affected shells so they do not become distorted.
Sew UVs Merges the selected UV edges.
Create UV Shell Extracts the UVs pertaining to the selected edges into their own UV shell.
Tweak UV Tool Activates the Tweak UV Tool, which allows you to quickly move UV edges by dragging them.
Cut UVs Splits the selected UV edge into separate overlapping UV edges.
Toggle Texture borders Highlights the border edges of all UV shells.
Toggle Shell borders Displays all UV shell borders connected to all selected UVs.

Faces / Shells

When a polygon face or UV shell is selected, the marking menu shows the following operations:
Menu Item Effect
Planar Map Extracts the selected faces onto a new UV shell based on a planar mapping of their averaged normals.
Normalize UVs Extracts the selected faces onto a new UV shell that fits within the 0, 1 UV space.
Create UV Shell Extracts the UVs pertaining to the selected edges into their own UV shell.
Tweak UV Tool Activates the Tweak UV Tool, which allows you to quickly move UV edges by dragging them.
Layout UVs Repositions UV shells so they don't overlap and make maximum use of the available UV space.
Unitize UVs Repositions the UVs of the selected faces on the boundary of the 0, 1 UV space.
Toggle Texture borders Highlights the border edges of all UV shells.
Toggle Shell borders Displays all UV shell borders connected to all selected UVs.
