Generate 2D Drawing Views

Create base, orthogonal, and isometric projected views from Fusion 360 models.

A drawing view contains 2D projections of the 3D model.

Once a base view is placed in a layout, you can generate projected views from it. The projected views maintain a parent-child relationship with the view it was generated from. The settings of a child view are derived from the parent. If required, you can override these settings.

The drawing border, title block and paper sizes are picked up from the default settings specified in the Document Preferences. These are added to the sheet in the drawing environment. In addition to this, the view set command is automatically launched which displays a preview of the base view and three projected views of the model.

When you create a View Set, drawing views of the selected model are generated with the default scale and prompts you for placement in the drawing area. Once you create the views, you can attach notes, dimensions, and other annotations to the view geometry.

You can create additional views using the projected view command.
