The Bar Support tool creates a type of support structure for holding additive parts, and dissipating heat, during the build process.
Bar supports use less material than volume supports and, therefore, are easier to remove after the build process is complete. These types of support are good for transferring heat away from the part to reduce potential deformation.
Bar supports are typically vertical rods between the part and the build platform, or between two surfaces on the same part. Multiple rods can join to form tree-like structures, or bouquets, with a single anchor at the base and multiple connection points at the part surface.
