Solid Bar Support structure

The Solid Bar Support solid bar support icon tool generates a bar support structure under the selected solid bodies, faces of solid bodies, components, or mesh face groups. A solid bar support can be used for more intricate parts, such as those that have small overhangs.

Solid bar supports most often start from the build platform, branch out, and support the selected areas. A layer-by-layer animation of the supports can be viewed when you simulate the additive toolpath. The Print Setting Editor includes parameters that define how the supports get built. Examples of parameters include the number of perimeters and layers, and the angle and the density of the support infills.

Note: This feature is available only when you select a machine with additive FFF capabilities.
