Base Plate Support structure

The Base Plate Support tool creates a secondary type of additive support structure intended to be used with a Bar Support, a Volume Support, or a Polyline Support.

Base plate supports form in the shadow of a part and provide an interface between the build platform and the supports that connect at the part's surface. This type of support can help to keep the part firmly attached to the build platform during the additive manufacturing process. After the process is complete, having a base plate support means it can be easier to remove from the build platform.
