Material Model

Choose the material model to use in the structural analysis.

After importing both the structural model and the Moldflow model, you may select a material model to be used during the structural analysis. For assembly models, the material model you select is applied to all bodies of the assembly.

1. Click Home > Material Model and select the and select the appropriate model.

   • Elastic-Plastic: Allows for a nonlinear material response. With this material model, you will need to provide a nonlinear stress-strain data set for the material used in the analysis.

   • Linear Elastic: Only considers a linear material response. This material model can be used for non-filled plastics.
