User Interface: Web Application
An introduction to the menus, icons, windows, and other controls used when working with Autodesk Informed Design Web Application.
1. Autodesk Construction Cloud Account and Project
Use the project selector in the header to navigate to the Autodesk Docs project containing the Revit model you wish to use for instance assignment. Project Members can open models and assign instances, but Project Admin-level permission is required to generate output files and manage product releases.
a. Search: Find projects by name.
b. Change Account: Navigate between multiple Autodesk Construction Cloud Accounts.
c. Project List: Navigate between projects in the specified Account.
2. Top Header Navigation
Use the top header tabs to navigate between the major activities.
d. Products tab: Open Revit models uploaded in Autodesk Docs; assign Informed Design instances from the model for generating output files.
e. Outputs tab: Define job parameters and initiate job; track the status of output files while files are generating and review after job completion.
f. Releases tab: Review summary of published product releases (parameters and default values, publish location, etc.) and update release status to enforce usage restrictions in Revit projects.
3. Collapsible Left Side Subnavigation
A second tier of navigation is used within the Products tab and the Outputs tab. You can expand and collapse this navigation panel from the icon in the bottom left corner, similarly to the left side navigation in Autodesk Docs.
g. Models tab: Navigate folders in the Autodesk Docs project; open the Revit model to use for instance assignment.
h. Instances tab: Select Informed Design instances from the table or directly in the model viewer and assign for output file generation and upload.
j. Settings tab: Specify the file types to be generated from the assigned instances, and choose a destination folder in Autodesk Docs for the result file uploads.
k. Review tab: Track output files as the job is in progress (which documents are generating, which have uploaded, etc.) and review the status of results (which files uploaded successfully and when, which files failed to upload) after the job is complete.
4. Main Content Area
