Specifications on Autodesk Construction Cloud Mobile App

With the Specifications tool in the Autodesk Construction Cloud mobile app, you can easily access, view, and search for specifications on your iOS or Android mobile devices.

Access Specifications on Mobile

  1. Open the Autodesk Construction Cloud mobile app.
  2. Tap the project that you want to open. If you open a project that has new data available, you are prompted to update to the latest project data.
  3. Tap the Specifications icon .

Specifications Updates on Mobile

The Updates available: Changes to specifications message display when specifications have been updated on web and you can choose to sync these updates to your device.

The following updates on web will trigger this message:

  • New specifications published
  • Specification code changed
  • Specification description changed

To update specifications on your device, tap Sync.

On-demand Sync

When a specification section needs to be updated, it will appear greyed out. To update:

On iOS:

  1. Tap the greyed-out section.
  2. Tap Download.

On Android: Tap the greyed-out section.

Note: A green checkmark indicates the section is up-to-date.

Search Content in Specifications on Mobile

You can search for text in your entire specification list or within an individual specification.

Search Content from a Specifications List

Enter the text that you want to find in the search box at the top of the list. The search results automatically display the number of matches returned and pages on which they were found.

Android:

Tap on a page where a match was found to open that page in a full-screen view. All search matches are highlighted in yellow.

iOS:

Tap on a page where a match was found to open that page in a full-screen view. All search matches are highlighted in yellow.

Search Content in an Individual Specification

  1. Tap the relevant specification.
  2. Enter the text that you want to find in the search box at the top right of the screen. The search returns the pages on which the matches were found.
  3. Tap the desired page to open it in a full-size view. All search matches are highlighted in yellow.

Filter Specifications on Mobile

You can apply filters to your specifications list. To do so:

  1. In the Specifications tool, tap the Filter icon in the top right of the screen:

    • Android, tap
    • iOS, tap
  2. Select from::

    • Code
    • Version set
    • Issuance date
  3. Apply your filters as needed:

  • Android: Select the relevant checkbox for Code or tap on a desired Version set and Issuance date

  • iOS: Select the relevant checkbox for Code, Version set, or Issuance date

Note the following filter considerations:

  • If there are applied filters, the filter icon will have a red circle

  • Tap Clear to deselect the applied filter in a given filter category, or tap Clear All to deselect all applied filters

    • Tap anywhere outside the filter panel to close filters. On iOS, you can also click Done

View and Navigate Specifications Content on Mobile

To navigate between specification sections:

Android

  1. Tap the outline icon at the top right of the screen.

  2. Navigate to the desired section and then tap this section to view it in full screen mode.

  3. Swipe right to view all pages or use section thumbnails at the bottom of the screen to navigate.

iOS:

  1. Tap the outline icon at the top right of the screen.

  2. Navigate to the desired section and then tap this section to view it in full screen mode.

  3. Swipe right to view all pages or use section thumbnails at the bottom of the screen to navigate.

    Tip:

    The number at the bottom of the screen indicates the currently-selected section and the total number of sections in a specification.

Specifications References on Mobile

Add references to sheets, RFIs, submittals, different specification sections, and other project items to create a two-way relationship between a specification and other relevant project information.

For example, you can add a reference to an issue from a specification. Once you tap this reference, you will be directed to that issue within the Issues tool. Tap the specification reference within the issue to direct you back to the relevant specification.

View Reference Details

Tip: The Link icon on the right of the specification name indicates that the specification has an associated reference.

Android:

iOS:

To view reference details:

  1. Navigate to the relevant specification and open it.

  2. Tap at the top of the screen to open specification details.

  3. Tap References.

  4. If available, references are displayed under the tool they're associated with.

    Tip: Tap a desired reference to open it.

Add References to Specifications

  1. Navigate to the relevant specification and tap it.

  2. Tap at the top of the screen to open specification details.

    Note: On Android, the icon is black .
  3. Tap Add .

  4. Select an item that you'd like to add as a reference, and tap Add. Once added, the reference is displayed under the tool it's associated with.

Remove References

  1. Navigate to the relevant specification and open it.

  2. Tap at the top of the screen to open specification details.

  3. To remove a reference:

    • Tap the More menu , and then:

      • Tap Remove

      • Tap Remove again to confirm your choice

        or

    • Tap a reference, and then tap Remove reference

      • Tap Remove again to confirm your choice.
