Graphic Policy Assignment

Each graphic policy has a different bandwidth setting. Digital Workplace's default minimum is an Internet connection of 3 Mbps. This setting is adequate for most tasks, but you may need to change your graphics policy if you perform high-bandwidth activities.

Learn how to select a graphics policy below.

High Internet Bandwidth Graphics Policy

A High Internet Bandwidth policy is suitable for users with access to an Internet connection with a minimum bandwidth of 50 Mbps and a latency of 0 to 30 milliseconds. For optimal performance, an Internet bandwidth of 100 Mbps is recommended.

Users have access to ultra-high minimum image quality of 24 bits, a preferred color depth of 24 bits, a target frame rate range of 20 to 60 frames per second.

Medium Internet Bandwidth Graphics Policy

The Medium Internet Bandwidth graphics policy is suitable for users with access to an Internet connection with a minimum bandwidth of 3 Mbps and a latency of 0 to 150 milliseconds. For optimal use, an Internet bandwidth of 10 Mbps is recommended.

Users have access to normal image quality, a preferred color depth of 16 bits, and a target frame rate range of 20 to 30 frames per second.

Medium Internet GRaphics Policy

Low Internet Bandwidth Graphics Policy

The Low Internet Bandwidth policy is suitable for users with access to an Internet connection with a minimum bandwidth of 1 Mbps and a latency of 150 to 230 milliseconds. For optimal use, an Internet bandwidth of 3 Mbps is recommended.

Users have access to low minimum image quality, a preferred color depth of 16 bits, a target frame rate range of 20 to 30 frames per second.
