Utilities (PartMaker)

Use the options on the Solids > Utilities menu to manipulate the solid models in the Solids window.

Scale all Models — Select this option to display the Scale all Models dialog, where you can scale all imported solid models.

Fill Holes — Select this option to fill the holes selected on the solid model. PartMaker fills the holes by removing the selected faces and then patching up the solid using either a single plane, a surface, or a number of surfaces (in that order of preference).

Measure Models — Select this option to display the Measure Solid Model dialog. You can use this dialog to measure any of the following:

  • Distance between two points.
  • Angle between three points.
  • Length of an edge.
  • Radius of the arc formed by three points.

Select All Surfaces — Selects all of the surfaces in the solid model.

Copy Models — Select this option to copy the selected surfaces or solids to the clipboard in a Autodesk-proprietary format that is accessible to Autodesk PowerShape.

Paste as Model — Select this option to paste the selected surfaces or solids from the clipboard (if stored in Autodesk-proprietary format) into the Solids window.

Tip: When using setup assemblies in PartMaker/Mill, you can use the Copy Models and Paste as Model options to copy and paste between different modes of the Solids window.
Note: When the Solids window is in Setup Assembly mode, you can copy and paste only complete solids.
