Sequence of programming steps - Milling (PartMaker)

  1. Select ToolMinder > Tools to add tools.
  2. Select ToolMinder > Cycles to add cycles.
  3. Select File > Open Material File to open a material file.
  4. Select Job Optimizer > Defaults to set defaults.
  5. Select View > Setup to specify setup options, such as part boundaries.
  6. Create geometry in CAD mode or select File > Import DXF File to import geometry created using a different CAD package.
  7. Select Part Features > New Hole Group to add a new hole group.
  8. Specify hole locations using one of the following icons:

    Single Hole icon

    Hole Patterns icon. In PartMaker/Mill, this icon displays a context menu. The Hole Pattern Icon is not displayed if the Hide Hole Patterns Icons option is selected in the Preferences dialog.

    Chain Circles icon

  9. Select Part Features > New Profile Group to add a new profile group.
  10. Create profiles using one of the following icons:

    Define Profile icon

    Chain Geometry icon

    Engraving icon

  11. Repeat steps 7 through 10 to create groups of all part features required for the job.
  12. Select Job Optimizer > Post Config File to select a post processor file.
  13. Select Job Optimizer > Generate Process Table to generate a Process Table.
  14. Select Job Optimizer > Generate NC Programto generate an NC program.
