Simulation window (PartMaker)

Use the Simulation window to view a 3D simulation of the processes in the Process Table and identify any errors before the part is machined.

PartMaker provides the following types of simulation:

Select the type of simulation you want to use by selecting a menu option from the Simulation menu, for example select Simulation > Basic Simulation to use Basic Simulation.

To specify how you want simulation to be performed (for example, the types of collision checking to be performed), select Simulation > Simulation Options and use the settings on the Simulation Options dialog.

To run a simulation of the processes in the Process Table, select Simulation > Simulationto display the Simulation window. The type of simulation you have selected is displayed in the title bar of the Simulation window. If you are using Advanced Simulation or Full Machine Simulation, PartMaker also display the name of the Machine Data file in the title bar.

To control the simulation running in the Simulation window, use the buttons on the Simulation window toolbar.
