Define Custom Shape (PartMaker)

Use this menu option to display the Define Custom Shape dialog, where you can define a custom shape.

You can use a custom shape to define:

  • A custom stock.

For example, if the stock being machined is not one of PartMaker's standard stock types. Defining custom stock types can also be helpful when simulating certain types of machining, such as castings.

  • The block for an Advanced Surface Machining (ASM) group.

You can select a custom shape to define the block for an Advanced Surface Machining group on the Define Block dialog.
