Indicates a feature suggested and voted up by users on the Flame Feedback portal.

Use the Default Batch Group Reels and Default Reel Group Reels lists located in the Media Panel tab of the System Preferences to set the number, names, and colour of reels for Reels Groups and Batch Groups created in the Media Panel and to define the default destination of clips rendered and imported using Render and Write File nodes.

Preferences

Changes have been made to the Media Panel preferences.

Media Panel System-based Preferences

The Media Panel tab has been added to the System Preferences and includes a mix of parameters previously available at the User level and some new functions.

These parameters were removed from the Default Reels Number section of the Media Panel tab in the User Preferences and replaced by the new workflow available in the Media Panel tab of the System Preferences:

• Batch Schematic
• Batch Shelf
• Reel Group
• Create Sequences Reel

Use Add and Delete to define the number of reels present in a new Batch or Reel Group. To rename a reel, select it from the list and click on its name to enter the editing mode.

Centralising Media Panel Preferences

The content of the lists defined in the Preferences is saved in the /opt/Autodesk/cfg/media_panel.cfg file. To share the default content of Batch and Reel Groups among multiple workstations, copy the file to a central location in your network and modify the associated path in the sysconfig.cfg file.
