Linear Structure Results Data Fields

Results are available for linear structures (Base Linear Structure (2D), Sluice Linear Structure (2D) and Bridge Linear Structure (2D) objects).

All results fields are displayed on the results grid and on the linear structure Property Sheet while viewing a replay of a simulation.

Time varying results are shown with the field name in an alternate colour on the grid. Non time varying results have the field name in the normal black type.

Time Varying

Flow Total flow calculated as the sum of Overtopping and porous flow and Opening flow. Q ls_flow True
Overtopping and porous flow

For 2D sluices/bridges, Overtopping and porous flow is:

  • Flow over gate crest/bridge deck

For the base linear structure, Overtopping and porous flow is:

  • Sum of flow over structure crest and flow due to porosity
Q ls_overflow True
Opening flow

For 2D sluices/bridges, Opening flow is:

  • Flow through sluice gate/bridge opening

For the base linear structure, Opening flow is:

  • Sum of flow through 2D sluice gates/bridge openings associated with base structure
Q ls_underflow True
Max flow Maximum flow in the positive direction experienced during simulation Q maxls_flow False
Min flow Maximum flow in the negative direction experienced during simulation Q minls_flow False
Varying crest elevation

Applies to base linear structure property sheets only.

Click the button to display a grid of structure vertices.

Note: data is only displayed when there is variation in the crest level of the base linear structure due to modelling of a breach.

Grid column Description
Vertex Number of vertex, where vertex 1 is the start point of the base linear structure.
Varying crest elevation Elevation of the vertex at the simulation time at which the grid was opened.
Z mls_elevation True
Varying crest offset

Applies to base linear structure property sheets only.

Click the button to display a grid of structure vertices.

Note: data is only displayed when there is variation in the crest level of the base linear structure due to modelling of a breach.

Grid column Description
Vertex Number of vertex, where vertex 1 is the start point of the base linear structure.
Varying crest offset Distance of the vertex from the start of the base linear structure.
L mls_offset False
