This topic lists the additions and improvements incorporated in InfoWorks® WS Pro Version 2024.3 which were not available in previous versions.
Please note that this new version also includes various bug fixes that are described in detail in the Release Notes.
Generalized Multi-Run support for Isolation Areas
Generalized multi-run configuration can now be set up to run based on isolation area. This enables easy configuration of test cases around isolation areas to simulate the impact of closing sets of links. In addition, the GMR Summary Report can be loaded onto the GeoPlan and associated to objects based on isolation area or any other field. In this way the impact of closing isolation areas can be easily visualized on the map for varying attributes.
InfoWorks TS Runs now support scenarios
When running InfoWorks TS, you can control the analysis to take place on one or more scenarios.
InfoWorks TS Runs are now available in the Cloud
The InfoWorks TS type can now be used while working in cloud databases where the analysis will be carried out in the cloud. With scenarios, this allows users to explore many alternatives in parallel through cloud computing.
Check for backflow in NRVs and PSTs
Some network configurations with demand on the upstream side of NRVs and PSTs with a bypass which are off can result in demand being pulled backwards resulting in large head differences. Two new simulation options have been added to check for and resolve these situations. When turned on, the engine will close the NRV or PST and cancel the demand to prevent the backflow event.
SQL Query default object type
The SQL Query dialog now opens with All Links as the default object type, with All Nodes as the second option in the list to streamline writing.
Results Management reporting with Cloud Storage
Results Management grids for Cloud databases now report the data size and log file status for any Sim object that is stored locally for review. Results that have no local copy will display a data size of 0 Kb to indicate that no local storage is occupied.
