Alternative Demand values can be used instead of network Customer Point and Node demand values when running a simulation. The Alternative Demand must contain a record for each Customer Point and Node that exists in the network to which it is to be applied.
A checked out Alternative Demand can be initialised from a Network at any time. Initialisation copies all Customer Point and Node demand information from the Network to an Alternative Demand.
To initialise an Alternative Demand:
- Associate the Alternative Demand with a Network. This can be done by dragging the Alternative Demand from the Model Group window or Explorer window into the GeoPlan Window.
- Select Alternative Demand > Initialise Alternative Demand from the Network menu to carry out the initialisation process.
Note:
Any existing Alternative Demand data will be overwritten. If data already exists, a message will be displayed giving the option to cancel the initialisation process.
