Change an Object Name

Change the name of an object, or its sequence number.

Process Analysis uses a combination of connected objects to simulate a factory workflow. An object is a Source, Processor, Buffer, Operator, or End Product.

Changing your object or asset name

There are two ways to change the name of an object or asset:

Select the Process Properties checkbox from the User Interface drop-down menu in the ribbon to access your object properties.

Select the object or asset, and then select the Name field in the Process Properties dialog to edit.

Optionally, you can double-click the object or asset name to change it directly on the node.

Changing an object or asset sequence number

There are two ways to change an operation sequence number:

Select the Process Properties checkbox from the User Interface drop-down menu in the ribbon to access your object properties.

Select the object or asset and then select the Op Sequence # field to edit.

Optionally, double-click the operation number to change it directly on the node.
