Connect Objects
Connections form the links between objects, facilitating the transportation of materials and parts between sources, processors, and buffers, in the order required to produce an end product.
Establish a connection between your objects
To connect your objects:
- Select the port (arrow) on the object.

Drag from one port to another port.

Change the shape of a connection by clicking anywhere along the line to create a handle, and then drag the handle to create the desired shape.
- To remove a handle, select it and press Delete.
Connection settings
Click once on a connection to view its settings:
- Name: The connection name
- Start and End: The names of the starting port and ending port. These settings are view-only.
- Load Time: The elapsed time until an export occurs from a port and onto a connection.
- Unload Time: The elapsed time to import items from a connection and onto a target port.
- Transportation Time: The elapsed travel time between an export port and a target port.
- Lot Size: The number of items to include in each batch.
- Capacity: The maximum number of lots that can move on the connection at the same time.
To flip the direction that a connection flows, right-click on an object and then choose Flip Operation Ports.
